Thread Face Lifts
Avoid pressure on the treated areas and sleep on your back for the first week
Apply SPF 30 and avoid direct sunlight and tanning machines to prevent Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH)
You can gently wash the treated areas starting on the same day but do not rub or massage the face for two weeks. Normal skin care routine can be started the following day
Do not open mouth too wide or make exaggerated facial expressions for 3 to 4 weeks (avoid dental treatment for two weeks if possible)
Avoid chewing hard or sticky food
A stinging or “pulling pain” or discomfort is normal. Take Tylenol 500 mg 1 to 2 tablets every six hours as needed. This will subside over a two-week period. Scratchy sensation is normal; this will subside over a two-week period. It may last up to five weeks
Bruising can vary and can last up to two weeks
Avoid NSAIDS (inflammation is necessary to initiate the new collagen formation process) for the first 7 days
Avoid blood thinning vitamins C, A and E for 7 days
Avoid temperature extremes such hot tubs or saunas and very cold climates for 10 days
Avoid physical exercise for seven days post procedure
Taping/applying dressing may help prevent undoing of the lift until some fibrosis occurs
Avoid having Radio Frequency (RF) or any heat producing device (laser, IPL, etc.) treatments of the thread treated areas for at least 10 weeks
PRP, Micropen and dermal fillers can be used after 14 days
Tips of threads may come to the surface of the skin. Most of these will regress over 3-4 weeks. It is possible for the thread to protrude. If this occurs arrange a follow-up appointment for management
Follow up photography at one month post treatment
Avoid alcohol and anticoagulant medicines (unless prescribed for medical indications) for 7 days

If you experience any increasing redness or pain (the best way to reach us is by calling the clinic)
If it is after hours or a weekend, or you are unable to contact our office and you have a serious concern, go to the hospital or the closest emergency department
